This week, Roswick’s North West division has successfully completed cable avoidance training.

The training, which involves both practical and theory tests, provided vital skills and knowledge related to avoiding utilities cables during ground works.

It is part of Roswick’s annual health and safety programme, which also covers staff based in Scotland and Ireland.

Roswick are highly committed to health and safety for all of their staff and a range of other programmes have been planned for the year ahead.

Just last month, the Scottish team completed a full first aid training course and Roswick plan to roll this out to North West staff in the coming months, as well as Lugs training for their Irish division.

Stephanie O’Connor, Head of Health and Safety at Roswick said: “Myself and the team thoroughly enjoyed the course and it was great to complete some of the practical tasks with my team.

We take safety very seriously here at Roswick and we want to give all of our teams advanced health and safety training throughout the year, to ensure everyone goes home safe at the end of their working day.”
